Frequently asked questions
The most important questions with honest answers – reflecting the current state of development.
What is Lykanor?
Lykanor is a versatile platform for digital analysis, traceable casework, community and accessible learning. It connects sources, evidence and context without presenting itself as an infallible judge of truth.
Can Lykanor reliably determine whether something is true or false?
No – and we do not claim that. No method can reliably detect every fake. Lykanor combines signals from several directions and makes transparent how strong the evidence is. When it is not sufficient, that is stated clearly.
What content is Lykanor meant to analyse?
The plan covers links, images, videos, audio files and text. The analysis feature on this website is not yet available; it is in development.
How does Lykanor deal with uncertainty?
Uncertainty is named openly instead of hidden. There are no invented percentages or confidence scores: where signals are contradictory or thin, the result shows exactly that.
What happens to data I give Lykanor?
Data minimisation applies: we only collect what is necessary for the purpose. The current website does not store contact form entries; the form simply opens your own email app. If you voluntarily email us, you decide which details to include. Further information is in the privacy policy.
How will the Lykanor beta start?
Lykanor begins with a small closed group. Further beta testers are invited step by step after feedback and stability rounds. Applying is not an automatic acceptance or a fixed start date.
When will the analysis feature be available?
We will only name a binding date once we can keep it. The current state is always labelled honestly on this website: available, in development or planned.
How can I get in touch?
Via the contact page. It provides the email form, the direct address and an honest note about response times.
