Digital investigation for everyone
Lykanor brings media, claims, sources and context together in one traceable case – so you can see what is supported, contradictory or still unresolved.
The problem
Tools for creating deceptively real content are available to everyone. That changes how we need to evaluate news, images and voices.
Images, videos and voices can be created artificially today – and often look deceptively real.
Even genuine recordings get edited, altered or placed in a false context.
Content spreads faster than its origin can be verified. The original context gets lost.
The Lykanor approach
Lykanor follows an evidence approach: instead of a single number or a simple verdict, several independent signals are combined and explained in plain language.
Metadata, provenance information and anomalies in the material itself.
Examining image, video, audio and text for signs of AI generation or manipulation.
Cross-checking with external sources and the context in which content spreads.
When the evidence is not sufficient, Lykanor says so clearly – instead of faking certainty.
The process
A link, image, video, audio file or text needs to be assessed.
Several analysis methods and sources are consulted in parallel.
The signals are collected, weighed and checked for contradictions.
An understandable result with sources, explanation and clear limits.
In developmentThe direct analysis feature on this website is in development and not yet available.
Three typical cases
Lykanor is designed to turn an uncertain situation into a traceable investigation. These examples show the intended workflow – not a publicly available analysis feature yet.

Analysis meets community
Lykanor combines analysis with personal profiles and a community. Users are intended to publish their own content, follow others and communicate directly.
Profiles, posts, sources and cases stay connected without treating likes or reach as signals of truth.
Every user is intended to create a personal profile and decide which details and content are visible there.
Publish your own posts and media, connect them to sources or cases and make their context understandable to others.
Follow other profiles and interesting content, and interact through likes and other reactions – kept separate from professional evidence.
Users are intended to communicate through private messages, with safety, reporting and moderation rules built in from the start.
Important: likes, follower counts and reach are popularity signals – not evidence of truth. Analysis results, sources and community reactions remain clearly separated.
Product areas
Lykanor is being built step by step. These areas are designed – their availability is always labelled.
In development
The core of the platform: assess links, images, videos, audio and text – with evidence, sources and a plain-language explanation. A basic tier is meant to be accessible to everyone.
Planned
For cases that need more depth: extended source research, timelines, comparisons and structured casework – built for intensive research.
In development
Create personal profiles, upload and share content, follow others, subscribe to and like posts, and message each other directly.
In development
A traceable collection of reviewed cases, source states, corrections and recurring content – kept separate from private case files.
In development
Learning paths and case examples that explain digital source checking, AI content, provenance and safe next steps in plain language.
Planned
Protection for people who publish content themselves: understand whether and how your own material is being altered or misused.
Planned
For newsrooms, organisations and companies that need to check content at scale or integrate Lykanor into their own workflows.
Trust & transparency
Lykanor provides evidence and context – the judgement stays with people.
Results reference sources and explain how they came about.
Uncertainty is named. There are no invented percentages or scores.
Data minimisation from the start: we only collect what is truly necessary.
Staged launch
Lykanor deliberately starts small. Early testers examine real workflows, clarity and limitations before access expands step by step.
Apply as a beta testerLykanor is a versatile platform for digital analysis, traceable casework, community and accessible learning. It connects sources, evidence and context without presenting itself as an infallible judge of truth.
No – and we do not claim that. No method can reliably detect every fake. Lykanor combines signals from several directions and makes transparent how strong the evidence is. When it is not sufficient, that is stated clearly.
The plan covers links, images, videos, audio files and text. The analysis feature on this website is not yet available; it is in development.
